Kigogola Land Fundraising Sabbath
Saturday, 12th April 2025 marked a significant milestone in the history of the growing church family in Seeta Kigogola as we gathered for the Kigogola Women for Christ effort closure. The event crowned the successful conclusion of a two-week site evangelism campaign that laid the foundation for the establishment and growth of God's work in this community.
What makes this journey remarkable is the speed at which God has blessed this young congregation. It is almost unimaginable that within just one year of existence, the church has grown to a point where it is actively pursuing the purchase of its own land. This achievement stands as a powerful testimony of God's leading hand and the commitment of His people.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed their time, resources, prayers, and unwavering support toward this noble cause. Special appreciation goes to our dedicated leadership team whose vision and commitment have steered this initiative forward. We thank Ev. Katerega Stephen, Church Elder Lubinga, Development Elder Kabangira, the Kigogola Elders and our guest preacher and fundraiser, Elder Kibuuka Robert, for their inspiring leadership and service.
Drawing inspiration from Exodus 25:1-3, 8-9, Elder Kibuuka Robert reminded the congregation that God's work is built through willing hearts and collective sacrifice. Just as God instructed the children of Israel to bring offerings for the construction of His sanctuary, believers today are called to participate in building places where God can be worshipped and His mission advanced.
One of the most memorable illustrations shared during the sermon was that of an anthill. An anthill is built by countless tiny ants working together. Though ants possess no hands and use only their mouths, they accomplish what seems impossible. Through unity, diligence, and persistence, they construct massive structures that can withstand significant forces. In fact, it often takes considerable manpower and machinery to destroy an anthill that these tiny creatures built collectively.
This illustration carried a powerful message for the congregation: when people unite behind a common vision, no goal is beyond reach. What may seem impossible for an individual becomes achievable when everyone contributes according to their ability. Just as ants work together to build something lasting, the church family is called to work together to establish a permanent home for God's work in Kigogola.
As we reflect on the blessings of this special Sabbath, we are filled with confidence that the dream of acquiring church land will soon become a reality. The same God who has guided this congregation from its humble beginnings to its current growth will continue to open doors and provide the necessary resources.
May this fundraising effort inspire greater commitment, generosity, and unity as we continue to build not only structures, but also a strong and thriving community of faith for generations to come.
"Let us rise and build for God's glory. Our giving today shapes tomorrow's church."
