Celebrating World Adventurer Day at SDA Church Kasangati

The community of SDA Church Kasangati came together for a vibrant and uplifting celebration of World Adventurer Day. Under a cloudy but pleasant sky, our spirits soared as we embraced the theme of DOING OUR BEST BECAUSE OF JESUS' LOVE being the "Busy Bees of Christ's Message." This day was filled with music, joy, and a powerful reminder of our mission to spread hope and love within our community.

The day began with a lively brass band procession that wound its way through the heart of Kasangati town. As the sounds of the band filled the air, our members, adorned in their bright Adventurer uniforms, marched with enthusiasm and pride. The band music through the streets, drew the attention of onlookers and inviting them to join in the celebration.

It was a moving sight to see our children and adults alike stepping in time to the rhythm, with joyful face. This procession was more than just a march; it was a declaration of our faith and our commitment to sharing Christ's message with all.

As we paraded through the town, we handed out literature and shared words of encouragement with those we met along the way. The main aim was to remind everyone that even in challenging times, there is always hope in Christ. The smiles and waves from the community were a testament to the impact of our efforts. Many people stopped to listen, to ask questions, and to express their gratitude for the positive energy we brought to this day.

Upon returning to the church, we gathered for a special service. Highlighting the importance of diligence and dedication in our spiritual journey. Our guest speaker delivered an inspiring sermon, urging us to continue working tirelessly for the cause of Christ, just as bees tirelessly gather nectar to produce honey.

The children played a central role in the service, reciting Bible verses and performing skits that illustrated the values of teamwork, perseverance, and faith. Their participation was a beautiful reminder that the Adventurer Club is not just about fun activities but about instilling a lifelong commitment to Christ's teachings with our family commons.

As we look back on this memorable World Adventurer Day, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate our faith with through our little ones. 

We are inspired to continue our mission in our community, spreading the sweet message of Christ's love and hope wherever we go. Let us carry the energy and enthusiasm of this day into our daily lives, always ready to serve and to share the good news.

Men’s Affair and Get-Together

The Adventist Men Ministry of  SDA Church Kasangati held a special Men’s Affair and Get-Together , drawing participants from Bulamu, Kyankima and Namavundu for a full-day session of fellowship, learning and spiritual reflection at Victor’s Valley Hotel in Nakwero. The gathering, aimed at strengthening men’s spiritual and social roles in their families and communities, featured Elder Kibuuka Robert as one of the keynote speakers. His message, delivered with a mix of humour and firm counsel, centered on responsibility, discipline and financial stewardship among men. He reminded participants that although men are not perfect, they remain the head of the home,  symbolically representing the brain, eyes, and voice of the family. God calls each of us for a purpose

20th September was a special sabbath as the global church celebrated World Pathfinder Day marking 75 years of Pathfinders serving strong. Here, the day kicked off with a flag-raising ceremony, led by Pathfinders smartly dressed in their full uniform. Their yellow and vibrant green set the tone for a joyful Sabbath of worship, service, and celebration. The sermon by Nsereko Enoch centred on 1st Samuel 16:7, reminding us that “man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” The preacher illustrated this with the example of Mr. Lubinga Godfrey, the first elder of the church.
