"Preparing for the Final Event" Fasting/Prayer Day




Dear Church Family,

We hope this newsletter finds you in good health and high spirits as we embark on the journey that is the year 2024. Our first Sabbath of the year was marked with an enlightening sermon under the theme, "Preparing for the Final Event," which centered on the importance of unity, discretion, and forgiveness within the body of believers. 

The sermon, drawing inspiration from Matthew 5:20 and James 5:13, emphasized the significance of keeping desecrate within one's self. Our speaker highlighted the need for us to refrain from gossip and to avoid actions that might adversely affect our fellow brethren. The central message resonated with the idea that, as members of the body of Christ, we are called to strengthen our bonds, standing united and avoiding the pitfalls of revenge.




Genesis 12 and 13 were invoked to illustrate the importance of unity. The example of taking a person to prison, despite being legally justified, served as a powerful metaphor. We were reminded that while we may have the support of the law, true righteousness is achieved when we approach such situations with a Christ-centered perspective. Reporting to Christ rather than seeking retribution becomes the path we are called to follow.

Our speaker Elder Kagolo Ivan urged us to recognize that we are one family in Christ. When faced with wrongdoing, it is essential to approach it with a spirit of forgiveness and a desire for reconciliation ahead of dedicating our selves to God in prayer and fasting. The proximity to sin can influence our actions, making it imperative to stay close to the Lord and each other, drawing strength from our shared faith.

The day was not only marked by the impactful sermon but also by our collective commitment to fasting and prayer. As we always set aside the first Sabbath of every quarter in the year for this special time, our hearts were united in seeking God's guidance, mercy, and blessings for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in 2024.



As we reflect on the insights shared during the sermon and the spiritual nourishment received through fasting and prayer, let us carry the message of unity, discretion, and forgiveness into our daily lives. May the bonds within our church family continue to grow stronger, and may we approach the challenges of the future with a spirit of love, understanding, and reliance on the grace of our Lord.

Men’s Affair and Get-Together

The Adventist Men Ministry of  SDA Church Kasangati held a special Men’s Affair and Get-Together , drawing participants from Bulamu, Kyankima and Namavundu for a full-day session of fellowship, learning and spiritual reflection at Victor’s Valley Hotel in Nakwero. The gathering, aimed at strengthening men’s spiritual and social roles in their families and communities, featured Elder Kibuuka Robert as one of the keynote speakers. His message, delivered with a mix of humour and firm counsel, centered on responsibility, discipline and financial stewardship among men. He reminded participants that although men are not perfect, they remain the head of the home,  symbolically representing the brain, eyes, and voice of the family. God calls each of us for a purpose

20th September was a special sabbath as the global church celebrated World Pathfinder Day marking 75 years of Pathfinders serving strong. Here, the day kicked off with a flag-raising ceremony, led by Pathfinders smartly dressed in their full uniform. Their yellow and vibrant green set the tone for a joyful Sabbath of worship, service, and celebration. The sermon by Nsereko Enoch centred on 1st Samuel 16:7, reminding us that “man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” The preacher illustrated this with the example of Mr. Lubinga Godfrey, the first elder of the church.
